I’ve been watching some of Eckhart Tolle’s videos recently. He’s a smart guy.
Takes a bit of wrapping your head around, but the point of the below video is all about the fact that life is happening right now. Not tomorrow. Not yesterday. Not in half an hour. Right this second.
All you have is right now. That’s all you can control because that’s all there is. You can’t do anything about yesterday now, and you can’t do anything about tomorrow now.
So, the most important decision you could ever make in your life is the one you make next because that’s all you have.
Another thing I stumbled upon was a video by Will Smith talking about discipline and making decisions that are in your own best interest.
Should you have a biscuit or not? Should you go for a run or sit on the couch? What decision is best for you, long term?
If life is simply right now, this moment, and the next decision is all you have, why not choose what’s in your best interest?
