It’s easy to be tempted by quick wins – the easy things that we can do right now that give us an immediate benefit.
But the benefit you’ll get from a quick win is usually small. It’s the low hanging fruit. That’s why it’s so quick and easy.
We can’t reach our long term goals through quick wins alone. It takes big action and focus over a sustained period to tackle the really important stuff – the big wins.
That means sometimes sacrificing a quick win, or a series of quick wins, in favour of the long term aim.
Some quick wins will take you closer to your bigger goals, others won’t.
